... Now therefore come, let us fall
unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they
kill us, we shall but die. II Kings 7:4.
When the
Four lepers in our Focal Scripture were faced with the choice of either going
back to the city, remaining at the city gate or moving into the camp of Syrians,
they chose to move on into the camp of the Syrians. Remember, there was famine
both in the city and at the city-gate, but there was food in the camp of the
Syrians. There was dryness in the city and at the city gate; but there was no
dryness in the camp of the Syrians.
So, rather
than remain in dryness, these four lepers chose to move into a place where
there was no dryness. Rather than remain in a fruitless place, they chose to
gravitate towards abundance. Instead of remaining in a place that had nothing
to offer, they moved to a place that had something to offer. The fact that
nothing was working around them didn't stop them from searching for a place
something was working.
Friend,
isn’t it true that we often fill our minds with memories of lost opportunities,
failed dreams, failed relationships, disappointments, heart breaks, deprivation
et.c and we fail to take fresh steps that will take us into abundance.
Don't stay
in the same level that has brought you nothing. Don't limit yourself to sad
experiences of the past. Take another shot at life. Aim higher! Go for fresh
opportunities. Take new steps that will give you new results. Go for fruitful relationships,
attend fruitful meetings, and engage in discussions that add value to you.
Seek
Abundance! Move towards it!! You are just at the threshold of embracing it!
Yes!
Pray with me,”
Lord, I receive the Grace to move away from dryness into Abundance".
